Each one of the people pictured below belongs to the exclusive club called "transit executives". They all make differing amounts of money and have different sorts of jobs. Which one is the actual 'best' or the 'smartest'. Nobody knows. What they all have in common is that they are 'careerists' people that put their careers above everything else in their lives. They value money more than people in most cases. They can be 'bought' for the right price. All of them suck down precious transit funds that could be used to provide service to area residents. Are they really necessary? Apologists say of course they are. How could anything exist without them? I put it to you that if Mcfarlane left tomorrow and they never replaced him there would be no effect 'on the ground' That's because these transit executives are never involved in actual service delivery, they are all involved in politics. Why is politics involved with transit in this country? I have no idea.
Trimet apologists are screaming that Mcfarlane 'does more' than the other transit executives in other districts. It's an absurd argument but the apologists are so attached to attacking the KOIN report they will grasp at any straw.
