TRIMET ONCE AGAIN FAILS TO INFORM THE PUBLIC

Obviously Trimet officials are aware of this at the same time Trimetscanner is. Trimetscanner gets the information in real time and tweets (if one of the volunteers is listening) immediately. I wonder why Trimet waits so long to issue its 'official service alert'.  My guess is they are hoping that they won't have to make any official alerts so as to preserve the notion that light rail is so wonderful

Trimetscanner issued the alert at 5:14pm.

The billion dollar agency issued it's alert at 5:37, over 23 minutes later than the actual event

They make sure things are confirmed, then it goes to the person who actually posts alerts, then it takes time for that person to post to the various channels.

It's confirmed the minute it comes over the scanner.
Then the inefficient bureaucracy takes over.
22 minutes is a lot of time and a lot of commuters that could have been informed.
