The Tri-Met board is almost certain to decide at its June 25 meeting to adopt a policy that all future buses will be of the low-floor variety. A transition would take a decade or more as the agency phases out its standard buses ."
That was said in 1997. It's now 2012 - 15 years later. And fully 1/3rd of TriMet's bus fleet is STILL old, ancient high floor buses.
