TOM HORTON WITH INTERESTING REBUTTAL TO JOE ROSE

So, Joe Rose, you think you can drive a bus?
First of all, you have to show up to work well before the morning rush hour, bright-eyed, mentally awake, and physically fit for duty. Don’t forget you hold a federally standardized Medical Examiner’s Certification – that annual physical exam you are required to have in order to keep your Commercial Driver's License. This federal law states you must never drive under the influence of any kind of intoxicant – the standard for which is fully twice as demanding as that which is required of any other motorist on the road – you must never refuse a field sobriety test, and you must never blow .04 BAC or above. This standard necessitates a lifestyle commitment: no late-night parties, drunken benders or even a casual social gathering with a few friends if it involves booze on a work night.

Great summary of the bus operator's daily challenges.

In a perfect world Joe Rose might actually read Tom's blog entry and learn something.
