Abigail Scott Duniway
I'm sure she was a great woman who did great things but she died in 1915 and has nothing to do with the current history of Portland. I'm also weary of things being named after mythological historical 'heroes'.
This is the name that I bet the oligarchs will pick.

Was known by thousands of Portland citizens.

It will be Duniway. It's the 'politically correct' choice and they had decided on that long before they held that phony contest
It's the Goldshit method (followed by oligarchs since time immemorial): the names of powerful and important people will be memorialized at great public expense so the peons will forever remember their masters.
I ask Alan Morgan if you knew what it was and he told me its the Duniway bridge
