HAVE YOU EVER HAD YOUR EXPIRED PASS/TRANSFER SIEZED BY AN OPERATOR?

If that has happened to you immediately make a complaint and demand compensation. Many people keep expired passes and or transfers for tax purposes and the property is not under ownership by the district nor the operators.
In reality you can report the theft of your property to the police as that is exactly what it is. Your property which has been stolen by a rogue operator or fare inspector

Actually, our transfers and I do believe TriMets have a phrase on the back "This transfer must be surrendered to the operator upon request". So in reality....its not a theft. Not sure why we would execute this process, an expired transfer is that, expired.

Our policy clearly sets to never take a pass, it says to return the pass and write up paperwork if you suspect anything.

No such statement on the back of a Trimet transfer and I would question the legality of it on a Metro transfer unless the policy is to give the transfer to the driver when boarding the transfer bus.

It an item is paid for it now possessed by the person who paid for it, that makes it a theft to 'steal' it back.
