Trimet employees/retirees on Blue Cross are SCREWED
Just spent the last hour on the phone dealing with this screwing we just got from our union and Mcfarlane.

I have heard nothing but middle finger pointing for healthcare cost burdens by TriMet employees solely toward their employer. What about the out of control for profit healthcare providers and pharmaceutical companies? Employers have taken on the burden of the spiraling cost of health care just as well as employees. Affordable healthcare is a national problem and a large contributing factor to the demise of business and living wage jobs in this country. Employer provided healthcare in any form in retirement is a RARITY!
What we need is more regulation of the industry and put the "for profits" out of business.
