Kevin Michael Purefield pleaded guilty in Multnomah County Circuit Court Wednesday to one count each of misdemeanor stalking and telephonic harassment. Purefield was repeatedly harassing victims’ families of the Aurora Colorado movie theatre shooting. Purfield is scheduled to be sentenced Friday to what likely will be a year of mental-health court, where he will have to check in weekly with a specialist who will help him with any needs, such as attending doctor’s appointments, taking medications and maintaining a place to live. Purfield also will be ordered not to phone, email, text or otherwise have any contact with the families of the 12 who died or the 58 who were injured during the July 2012 screening of “The Dark Knight Rises.” “We just want to stop the behavior and get him help,” said Kirsten Snowden, the deputy district attorney who heads Multnomah County’s misdemeanor trial unit.
On two different occasions Lane texted two different non threatening questions to Tri Met Media Public Relations officer Roberta Alsteadt on her assigned Verizon phone on her designated number for work related matters multiple times; “When will the non-union employees stop getting benefits and pensions after 3 years, while drivers have to wait 10-20? Who’s got the harder job? “So what is it going to take to get safety on the busses? How many more lives is it going to take? 1? 10? 100? 1000? A driver being killed while in the seat? Could you question that Roberta Alsteadt deliberately didn’t answer Lanes’ questions so she could entrap Lane and so they could claim telephonic harassment to set up and shut up Lane forever. Four of Tri Mets contracted cops, usually seen on the max hustling people for their fares were sent to bully, arrest, handcuff, and seize Lane’s computer and cell phone. On October 30, 2013 the Willamette Week did an article about Lane where the Tri on It's less of a crime to beat up an operator than text a Trimet executive

That lays out the case perfectly
How may deaths have there been since Lane was originally arrested?
We need a death meter. All time total, year to date total and # from when lane got arrested.
Just interested in the facts is all.
There are numerouse assults, stabbings and most recent a driver was beatten up. The question is will it take one death or many to do someting about safety. The comment about a death meter shows your contempt towards the safety of the drivers.
Tri Met has become a hostile and an unhealthy place to work at. Drivers are yelled at, spit on and threatened daily by management let alone by the public.
If Abraham Lincloln were alive today he would be freeing the Tri Met drivers from their master.
Make change at the Tri Met board. Vote John Kitzhaber out of office.
TriMet ticket forger will only spend 58 months in prison
A 30-year-old Mexican national pleaded no contest and was found guilty in Multnomah County Circuit Court today on two counts of first degree criminal possession of a forged instrument for illegally printing thousands of fake TriMet tickets.
Manuel Aguilar Martinez, aka, Gabriel Bedolla Medina, who prosecutors said used numerous other aliases, also pleaded no contest and was found guilty of felony failure to register as a sex offender by Judge Christopher Marshall.
Assistant district attorney John Copic said Aguilar was responsible for printing thousands of phony all-zone and other fare denominations tickets.Under a plea arrangement, Copic said Aguilar will spend 58 months in prison.
Following a months-long investigation police confiscated about 35,700 bogus tickets with an estimated value of more than $109,000.
Copic said Aguilar was also indicted by a federal grand jury for re-entering the country illegally, charges he will face after his sentencing next month. The presumptive sentence for that offense is 5 years in federal prison, to be served after his stint in a state prison.
Another defendant in the case, Jaime Caamal Balam, 27, of Northeast Portland, will be sentenced at a later date for possession of a forged social security card, Copic said.
At the time the scam was uncovered, police said street-level sellers approached riders on the street, said they needed money fast and had tickets to sell, then offered them at a discounted price. They included all-day and two-hour adult all-zone fares.
When purchased legally, the all-day tickets cost $4.75, the two-hour tickets $2.30.
Gee, I noticed that NO TM executive staff attended the hearing for Daemon Bowman, the man accused of beating up our sister Pam a few weeks ago. There were 30 or so drivers, retirees and union reps there, but no TMet administrators. Hmm...
