The union has been without a contract since August and has met with
the employers, the BCRTC, 25 times in an attempt to get a new deal.

to a release from the union, the outstanding issues are modest wage
demands and “company demands for concessions in the form of extensive
changes to the employees’ sick plan benefits and the introduction of a
two-tiered system for retiree benefits.”
