Vancouver BC takes a real stand against violence against bus operators
And they've developed a system of reporting crimes without involving operators and putting them in harms way

If the goal is to truly have a safe system where operators and riders feel secure, then this kind of zero tolerance approach is needed. As the cop points oout, there is never a justification for threats or violence toward an operator. Using the police state to create a safe transit system is probably as constructive as you could hope for, eh?

now this is a good use of a 10 million dollar budget, too bad that when the company talks about safety and never talk about operator safety.
