Another Smackdown For Portland Light Rail

3,000 more people in the Portland area work from home than take transit, and Tr-Met's market share has dropped by 25% since the first light rail line went live. People seem to be getting fed up with the planning class, as Clackamas County, Clark County (Washington), King City in Washington County, and now Tigard have all pushed back hard against efforts to ram more two-car light rail "train" lines into their communities.
The days of Metro, Portland, and Tri-Met just ramming them through without a vote of the people appear to be drawing to a close. And it's long overdue.
