Pamela Thompson forgives attacker

“I would like to address my attacker,” Thompson wrote. “I stand before you offering forgiveness for the brutality you exhibited on me and that fateful night. We have all made poor decisions at some time in our lives, myself included; but just as the LORD has forgiven me for those poor decisions in my life, I extend the same to you, knowing that it is through forgiveness we are truly free to heal.”
Thompson also commended TriMet for recent security upgrades, (huh? Like what?)but said continued improvements were needed to protect operators

Pam you are too quick to forgive! Has this monster apologized to you and asked you to forgive him? Does he have any remorse for what he has done to you? You took two beatings, one physical and the other in the Oregonian. Instead of addressing the lack of safety provided by Tri Met on the busses for their operators, it became a race issue because the Oregonian did not want to mention that this man was black.
As far as Tri Met goes you need to know that Shelly Lomax became enraged over replacing you glasses and your cell phone. She was pointing the finger at you for being on the phone breaking Tri Met SOP. The “BITCH” showed NO compassion for you.
Roberta Alstead when asked by the news: “Could Tri Met do more to protect their drivers?” Alstead paused, took a deep breath, turned up her nose and said “that’s a question we are always looking at after each incident”. So the answer is no and they don’t care who gets beat, stabbed spit on or threatened.
Don’t be so forgiving Pam. Be with your family and heal from your traumatic experience. Demand change in the system for yourself and others. Let God and the court system be the one to judge this monster for what he did to you. And then after this monster has done the time for his crime and when and if ever this monster/coward can look you in the face and apologize and ask you for forgiveness then is the time to address forgiveness.

How does it become a "race issue" just because they didn't mention race/ethnicity? I'm no fan of Oregonian but that argument makes no sense. Let's keep the focus on operator safety. If anything, the assault on Leonard James had ample evidence of being race-driven given all the racial epithets used by attacker.

Go back and read the comments under the story.

This sounds like her:
“Our system needs to be scrutinized in every detail so that not only our drivers, but also all of our passengers feel safe when riding TriMet,” Thompson said Monday."

This sounds like a plant:
"Thompson also commended TriMet for recent security upgrades."

THERE ARE NO UPGRADES!

Sop says op can use cellphone at layover out of seat. Doesn't sound like Shelly.

I think management reads Al's blog and comments often. Isn't that right Shelly?
