These A-Holes don't even have funding for this 'corridor' bullshit but here they are again hiring more people to do planning. Trimet is such a rogue agency I find it hard to keep following their shenanigans. Capital projects takes priority over service constantly here.
Lead and produce conceptual design for TriMet activities with respect to
corridor and other transit capital projects primarily in planning and
pre-preliminary engineering stages.
Manage design and planning tasks for regional high capacity corridor projects. Lead, produce, and/or manage development of specific alternative analysis products including conceptual designs, conceptual capital and operations cost estimates (independently and/or in support of estimating engineers), travel times, impact narratives and other products as needed.
Provide coordination between TriMet and government agencies and lead TriMet’s participation in design efforts for major planning studies and projects. Ensure intra-agency coordination by interfacing with the Capital Projects Division through the Operating Projects Department.

Yep, they need a "planner" for the plan to ram more light rail down Barbur Blvd. And "planners" need lots of compensation! After all, they have to spin crap that would choke most normal people.
I thought Capital Projects personnel were funded only by approved project funding...if there's no approved funding, this would appear to be funded out of the general fund - the exact same "pot 'o gold" that pays for things like...you know, buses, fixing buses, and running buses.
