TriMet spokeswoman Roberta Altstadt issued the following statement about Friday's sentencing:
"We are relieved there is a resolution in this matter. Our operator was injured during this brutal attack, and we are grateful she is all right and is moving forward in her recovery from this incident. An attack like this is very disturbing, and TriMet believes all our operators should be treated with kindness and respect."
Yet, they will do nothing to prevent it from happening again, these words ring hollow as always. HB
