Trimet attempts to 'spin' the Trimet rodeo

In Trimet fashion which NEVER admits any sort of failure, they  claimed 'hundreds' of participants yet only 60 people actually bothered to participate in the driving. Since there are about 1300 bus drivers that is less than 5% participation. The boycott worked. Nice attempt at spin Trimet but its totally transparent. (for a change)
Trimet officials in true form don't know spelling very well, its RODEO, not roadeo

"roadeo" is supposed to be a play on "road", and it would be interesting to compare 60 to how many participated in the past

The boycott was so successful that TriMet will be inspired to never hold the event again.

Congratulations ATU! At least you won that battle!

Like I said before, it just paints the union as being childish. I don't think anyone is looking at the roadeo and thinking "well gee, we threw you this event, now you owe us your healthcare."

This is the sort of thing that people are referring to when they say that unions are disconnected with the rest of the world. Union members' OPEB is another example.

The 'rest of the world' can be slaves as far as I am concerned. Some people believe in standing up for their rights as human beings. Only people like Mcfarlane and his pals should get rich and retire fat but the people doing the work 'are disconnected from the world'. No Max, you're the one who is disconnected and brainwashed.
