I know there are more than a few union members who are upset that I published the contract with Trimet before it was 'officially' released.
However my position on union secrecy is exactly the same as my position on Trimet secrecy.
It needs to stop. How can either Trimet or our union expect the citizens of this area to accept either culture when both cultures continue to be addicted to secrecy and manipulation.
Next time there is an announcement which contains information that directly affects the lives of union employees it needs to be released immediately!
Since it also affects the public the public deserves full disclosure!
Waiting 2 weeks to get the information because the circle of power 'made a deal' is unacceptable.
