The latest piece of 'information' to be spreading around about this 'contract' is that Trimet is offering a $100 signing bonus if it gets approved.
Let me repeat that in case that didn't sink in properly.....
a $100 signing bonus
That's the most insulting thing I have ever heard if its indeed true.

Bonus $ is taxed at 44% thank you liberals so we will get $56. Vote No vote FUCK no hell no No No No
I heard $250.00
Don't know anything about a bonus; but just want to point out that bonuses are treated as regular income and are thus taxed at the same rate (unless of course the bonus is so much that you get bumped into a higher income tax bracket).
Anything less than $1000 signing bonus is an insult and proves mgmt places very little value in its union employees
Seem unlikely that TriMet would offer any signing bonus.
The 'bonus' would actually represent 3% for 2013 and 3% for 2014 COLA which employees didn't get for those two years.
On a salary of $50k it would be $3000 total
